ABOUT THE CORACLE

The Coracle has been exploring the byways and backstreets of the British Isles for the last three decades. In the early years, driving a Ford Escort van with an inflatable mattress, through a series of DIY campervans to something with a little more space and a heater 😉 This website is the ongoing story of that wonderful campervan journey.

Each story focusses on one particular place, person or biscuit and hopefully reveals that despite an increasingly homogenised world, the UK still has a unique and richly textured fabric. From Shetland to Sandwich, from Birmingham to Bungay, I hope it inspires you to get out and support the fantastic people, places and communities featured.
